Gazprom ends feasibility study of Soyuz Vostok pipeline to China

MOSCOW, Jan 25 (PRIME) -- Gas giant Gazprom has finished a feasibility study of the Soyuz Vostok natural gas pipeline that would pump Russian natural gas to China through Mongolia, the company said in a statement published on its official Telegram channel on Tuesday.

“(Gazprom CEO) Alexei Miller and Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister Sainbuyan Amarsaikhan have signed a protocol following consideration of a feasibility study for construction of a gas pipeline for delivery of Russian gas to China through Mongolia,” the company said.

The pipeline’s length on the Mongolian territory will amount to 962.9 kilometers, the diameter of the pipes will amount to 1,400 millimeters, and five compressor stations are to be built, Gazprom said.
